Our Take on Vdara Hotel & Spa

Stayed multiple times — most recently November 2025 · Studio Suite · MGM Rewards member

Vdara is always the first place we look. The only reason we ever don't choose it is when we want a serious pool day.

Vdara is always the first place we look when we're planning a Vegas trip. We end up somewhere else only when we want a serious pool day — the rest of the time, this is the default. We've stayed here multiple times and we keep coming back, and we still don't have a better answer for "where do we actually want to sleep in Vegas?"

The Studio Suite is the room we always book. Couch, chair, a little table to eat on, bed area, full kitchen with a refrigerator, and a bathroom that doesn't feel like an afterthought. You get everything you need in one room without paying for a separate bedroom you wouldn't actually use. The other thing we love: the entire property is non-smoking. No hunting for a non-smoky room, no casino smell in the elevators, no surprises.

Location is the other reason we keep coming back. The new tunnels to Cosmo and Bellagio are a real upgrade — you can walk to either without stepping outside, which in August is the only thing that matters. Aria is right next door. This whole stretch — Aria, Bellagio, Cosmo, Vdara — is our favorite area of the Strip, and Vdara is the cheapest way to live in it. If you're in town for a Sphere show or an Allegiant Stadium game, you're centrally located for both.

The honest weaknesses: there's no real food option on-property. We do the Starbucks every time and call it good, but if you want a real meal, you're walking. The pool is the other one — it's not bad, it just doesn't have the coolness of Cosmo or the luxury of Aria or Bellagio. And Vdara is "close to everything" rather than "walk downstairs and be there" like Aria. If you want to drop your wallet at the room and hit a casino floor in 30 seconds, this isn't that. None of it is a dealbreaker for us. It's the trade you make for the rooms, the price, and the calm.

If you're going for

A couples trip or a low-key group trip where you actually want to sleep — especially if your itinerary involves a Sphere show, an Allegiant Stadium game, or anything centered around Aria/Bellagio/Cosmo. The new tunnels make this whole cluster feel like one connected property.

Skip if

You want a destination pool, or you want to drop your wallet at the room and be on a casino floor 30 seconds later. Vdara is a 5-minute walk to everything — including the nearest slot machine. That's the trade.
